Project Manager – Energy trading platform development
As part of our ongoing success in securing innovation projects within
the Horizon 2020 programme, EMAX is pleased to be strengthening our
growing team with a Project Manager – Energy Markets and Flexibility.
General Position Description
As the Project Manager, your main focus is on coordinating and
delivering an energy trading platform to allow the network operators to
gather flexibility for the network operation, congestion and imbalancing
management.
Tasks will include project management and execution of EMAX’s scope
within the projects. In practice, this will include market research and
analysis, evaluation of new markets, evaluation of technology options,
and business model analysis. You will produce deliverables for the
Horizon 2020 work packages on time and to a high level of quality. You
will also interact with partner organisations involved in the work
packages, working with them to support the successful execution of
EMAX’s scope.
EMAX is a growing company and we are developing new solutions for the
energy sector, in particular relating to markets and flexibility. Your
role will therefore also involve supporting the product development team
with your expertise and the knowledge we develop in our projects. You
have chance to work in important roles in European projects with 30 to
40 leading companies and enhance your skills by interacting with many
high skill experts in the field.
The position will be based in Brussels. Relocation will be considered
for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilitys

Work package leader for EMAX activities in several Horizon2020
projects, with the focus on development of an energy trading platform
-
Represent EMAX to lead the activities and attend at project meetings
-
Work planning, prepare deliverables for project reporting,
presentations
-
Supporting the commercialisation of innovation projects by close
collaboration with the product development team
-
Market analysis to support the execution of deliverables and product
development on topics including energy storage, aggregation, demand
side response and enabling technology

-Supporting EMAX’s sales efforts by assisting with the collection,
coordination, and preparation of communication and documentation,
internal and external presentations and proposals, including supplier
and customer contracts, utility applications and requests for
tendering
About you
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to be part of a

You are forward-thinking, innovative and comfortable with complexity and
uncertainty. If you were to describe your experience, you would say
that:

You are a graduate in electrical engineering, economics or IT-related
field with five years of experience in the energy sector

You have experience in project management and collaborative research
projects involving virtual or cross-border working
-
You understand the analysis of and development of business models
emerging trends in the electricity sector.

You have strong organisational and project management capabilities and
you are able to function autonomously
-
You have strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, and
ability to capture complex subjects in readily understandable terms.
Your English level is at least C1/C2.

If you had knowledge of electricity markets, as well as previous
experience in Horizon 2020 projects, it would be a strong advantage.
